The football league was formed in 1999 and plays under the banner of the South Manchester & Cheshire Christian Football League, with all the teams in the league representing a Christian Church or organisation of some kind.

Half way through the season and Hazel Grove sitting are comfortably at the top after six straight wins but Burnley & champions Warrington can close that gap with games in hand. At the bottom Burnley Blue, despite some good performances are still without a point and Longsight are unfortunate to find themselves in the relegation zone.

Four teams all battling for the top spot which Hurdsfield currently occupy. Only two points seperate the top four teams. Ramsbottom currently occupy the bottom spot with South Manchester Ambassadors in the Play Off position on goal difference - it promises to be an exciting second half of the season.
